Cancellations for bookings done on www.hotelkhems.com & Via Whatsapp will have to be processed manually. 

You can reach out to us on 9597390587 via Whatsapp and we will assist you with your cancellation. Refunds will be subject to cancellation policy at the time of booking.


For bookings done on other platforms i.e, Goibibo, MMT, Agoda etc Kindly reach out to the respective customer care to check on cancellation options available for your booking.

By Government Rules all Adults will have to submit their ID Cards for us to be keep on record. Accepted ID Proofs are : 

1. Passport

2. Aadhar Card

3. Voter ID

4. Drivers License


 PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE CARRYING EITHER ONE OF THESE AND SUBMIT DURING CHECK IN.


No We do not have an operating Restaurant at the Moment.

Rooms are sold on Room Only Basis i.e, No Meals are included in your room bookings.

Alternatives are : Food delivery services like Swiggy & Zomato. 

Also we are placed in Ooty town with plenty of Food options within a walking distance from us. 




  • Early Check In between 7 AM - 10.30 AM - Rs.525/  (Incl of GST)
  • Late Check Out between 12:00 Noon - 2:30 PM - Rs.525/ (Incl of GST)
  • Early Check In & Late Check Out will be subject to availability. 


As per law we will require ID proof of all guests staying with us , kindly ensure your details are up to date.

Personal details are not used for commercial purposes and only to be kept on record.


Yes, As per High Court ruling all vehicles entering Our district will need to obtain an epass in advance. The website is :  epass.tnega.org/ 


No, Hotel Khems does not allow pets, 


Yes We do have Car Parking Available for 15 cars at a time.


Please Note : We do not have space for larger vehicles like Buses & Tempo Travelers within our premises . Guests are advised that we will not be liable for parking for these large vehicles. 


No We do not have an operating Kitchen at the Moment.

Alternatives are : Food delivery services like Swiggy & Zomato. 

Also we are placed in Ooty town with plenty of Food options within a walking distance from us.


No We do not . Hot water is available for bathing between 7-10.30 AM & 7-10.30 PM. Reason being water shortage in Ooty & to be efficient with the supply of water and to minimalize wastage.

Ooty's natural cool and pleasant climate, a direct result of its high altitude, eliminates the need for air conditioning or fans in most settings. Visitors typically seek Ooty as a respite from the heat of the plains, embracing its naturally refreshing temperatures. 


It will be subject to availability.


We operate based on a standard 11:00 AM check-out time. It is our policy to ensure that all guests are able to occupy their rooms until their confirmed departure time. Therefore, we would not request an earlier check-out from a current guest to facilitate the check-in of an arriving guest, as this would be inequitable. 


For more flexible options we recommend utilizing our hourly stay options as well to suit your timing accordingly.


 We have the following room options available with us : 

  

1. Economy Room : Max occupancy 2 incl Children 

2. Superior Room : Max occupancy 3 incl Children

 3.Family Room : Max occupancy 4 incl Children 


Extra Mattress is available in Superior & Family Rooms at extra cost.

However we recommend You to Please book your rooms with the correct number of guests the pricing & extra mattress will pick up automatically.


Room Heaters are available an extra cost. 

Please check with our reception staff for the same.


We are a couple friendly hotel . We require ID Cards off all guests staying to be kept on record. Hence please ensure you are carrying a valid Govt issued ID Card with your address on it.


Two Wheeler rentals are currently banned in Ooty due to various safety & insurance issues. Hence You are advised to seek transport accordingly. 


CANCELLATION POLICY

Standard Bookings

  • 15% cancellation fee applies if you cancel up to 7 days before check-in. 
  • No refund if cancelled within 7 days or in case of no show. 
  • One date change is permitted for ₹500 + GST per room with at least 72 hours' notice.

Peak Season: 15 April - 15 June 2025

  • No refunds for cancellations.
  •  Only one date change allowed per booking with a fee if requested at least 72 hours before check-in. 
  • If any promo code or discount is applied, the booking is fully non-refundable under all circumstances.

WhatsApp / Prepaid / Special Offers

  • Bookings made via WhatsApp with prepaid or special offers or coupon codes are treated as discounted and are strictly non-refundable. 
  • One date change is allowed if you inform us at least 72 hours before check-in; date change fee ₹500 + GST per room applies.

Important Policies & Guest Info

  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by adults. 
  • Government-issued ID proof (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence) required. 
  • Check-in: 1 PM, 
  • Check-out: 11 AM. 
  • Hot water: 7-10:30 AM & 7-10:30 PM.
  • Restaurant under renovation; rooms sold on Room Only basis. 
  • Pets not allowed. 
  • Non-vegetarian food permitted; outside food allowed. 
  • Smoking only in designated areas. 
  • Hotel not wheelchair accessible.
  • E-pass obtained from epass.tnega.org is mandatory for vehicles entering Ooty.

Cancellation Examples (Booking Amount ₹2,000)

 

Examples with a booking amount of ₹2,000 :

  • Example 1:
    You book a room for July 15th (no discount/promo code) and cancel on July 8th by 12:00 Noon (7 days before).
    Refund calculation:
    Amount paid: ₹2,000
    15% cancellation fee: ₹300
    Refund amount: ₹2,000 - ₹300 = ₹1,700
    You will receive ₹1,700 as a refund.
  • Example 2:
    You book a room for July 1st using a promo code or discount.
    You cancel at any time.
    Refund calculation:
    Amount paid: ₹2,000
    Refund: ₹0 (no refund will be given).
  • Example 3:
    You book a room for July 20th and don’t arrive (no show).
    Refund calculation:
    Amount paid: ₹2,000
    Refund: ₹0 (no refund for no show).
  • Example 4:
    Your booking for July 10th needs a date change (to July 13th).
    You inform us by July 7th 12:00 Noon, and pay ₹500 + GST per room for the change.
    Calculation:
    Amount paid for booking: ₹2,000
    Date change fee: ₹500 + GST
    You get your new dates, no additional refund or charge except the change fee.
  • Example 5:
    You book via WhatsApp prepaid offer for July 15th.
    You want to cancel:
    Amount paid: ₹2,000
    Refund: ₹0 (since WhatsApp/prepaid/special rate bookings are non-refundable).
    You may request a date change once by notifying us at least 72 hours in advance. Date change fee applies: ₹500 + GST.
  • Example 6: Partial Payment
    You book a room for ₹2,000 for July 20th, but you only pay ₹1,000 as partial payment/advance, balance to be paid at check-in.
    You cancel on July 13th (7 days before check-in).
    Refund calculation:
    Advance paid: ₹1,000
    15% of total booking amount (₹2,000) = ₹300 (cancellation fee)
    Refund due: ₹1,000 - ₹300 = ₹700
    You will receive ₹700 as a refund.
  • If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in or do not show up:
    Refund: ₹0 (no refund even for the partial payment made).
